art basel has happened again. it was interesting to to see what galleries were willing to spend $50,000 to show off. here are a few pics from the main show…

here is jeremias staring down a miniature gallery curator. he is faking a phone call to ward jeremias off. it didn’t work.

this claw was robotic and moved around the floor, and there was this guy that dragged it back every time it got close to the edge. I want to know if he comes with the piece if I buy it.

this piece pretty much sums it up…

photographs I didn’t take…

at least, that’s the working title
Untitled 1 1
I am thinking about a new series of images that include my camera in the shot, set-up for use. I originally thought about documenting the places I set my camera up and then decided not to take the photograph. I like the dichotomy of saying I didn’t take the photograph, which I didn’t in the first sense, but the photographic evidence from the second camera contradicts the very statement. this image is a test of this idea using a holga. it didn’t do everything I intended, so I may have to use a medium format or large format camera to get exactly what I want. I want to have a complex view where the image on the ground glass mimics the image through the sports finder. I may need a better setup to get the ground glass image brighter and more distinct.
